The splendid north shows us the vineyards in São Vicente, natural volcanic pools at Seixal and Porto Moniz and Paúl da Serra the biggest plateau in Madeira.
Departing early from Funchal to a viewpoint with delightful views over Ribeira Brava village, the Atlantic Ocean and beautiful mountains. We drive to São Vicente in the north, known by its vineyards, volcanic caves and Madeira wine production.
Then we visit one of the most famous viewpoints in the north coast where you can see a waterfall that by resembling a bride's veil due to the abundance in water got its name Véu da Noiva. From here you can see on a clear day the Porto Santo Island.
Continuing our tour, we stop at Seixal at the natural pools where you have the chance to swim in crystalline waters and enjoy the beautiful scenery around them. We will also visit Porto Moniz’s volcanic pools which is one of the most visited places in Madeira.
Then we drive uphill through an off-road to Paúl da Serra, the biggest plateau of the island at nearly 1500 meters with stunning views. There, we will have a lunch break (not included) in a typical Madeiran restaurant.
To finish our tour, we will go to Bica da Cana viewpoint at 1650 meters where you can admire breathtaking views over the north side of the island.
